About Us

THE CRIB is a transitional youth home and emergency shelter that provides dual supportive programs for young adults ages 18–24 who have aged out of the foster care system or are at risk of homelessness.

The Transitional Youth Home Program offers long-term support focused on stability, personal development, and independent living. Youth in this program receive educational assistance, career guidance, and life skills training to prepare for self-sufficiency.

The Emergency Youth Shelter provides immediate short-term housing for up to 30 days, offering a safe environment and support services that focus on crisis intervention, stabilization, and connecting youth with long-term housing options and community resources.

Transitional Youth Home Program

THE CRIB Transitional Youth Home Program is designed to integrate transitional-age foster care youth (ages 18–24) into society and the labor market at a reasonable rate through career training, educational assistance, and basic life skills training. The program will be implemented using a three-tier completion plan to give young people a jumpstart in their transition into adulthood. The three tiers will be determined by age and intake assessment. These phases are as follows: Adjustment Phase, Implementation Phase, and Departure Phase.

Emergency Shelter Program

THE CRIB Emergency Youth Shelter is a trauma-informed, low-barrier emergency housing facility serving vulnerable youth aged 18–24. Operating as a rapid-response extension of THE CRIB Transitional Program, the shelter provides short-term housing, basic necessities, crisis intervention, and stabilization services. The goal is to help youth in crisis transition safely into long-term supportive programs such as THE CRIB Transitional Program or other community-based housing options.
